SocialBRIDGES 4 – Social distancing and touch
June 29, 2021 @ 10:15 am – 5:00 pm CEST
In the upcoming socialBRIDGES e-conference on June 29, 2021, we are pleased to offer an interdisciplinary one-day event on touch in the era of COVID, consisting of talks and a virtual poster room. There will also be a virtual space for participants to socially interact during coffee breaks, as we would do during real events.
The event will focus on two key themes:
Changes in social touch during COVID
What has been the effect of social distancing on how we interact?
We will explore, via a number of large, online studies, the effects that the COVID health crisis and the following social distancing have had on our well-being and behavior.
Bodily changes in and touch interactions during COVID
How have our interactions changed during COVID?
Advice tells us to avoid touching any object or surface in public and to wash and/or sanitize our hands afterwards, which has impacts on how we interact with the world and with others. We will explore how this has changed us, impacted our lives, and how it makes us feel.
SocialBRIDGES is a series of e-Conferences hosted by Universität der Bundeswehr München.
